At the beginning of 2022, Rene spent a number of weeks in Bahrain on the Life Time Extension of trailing suction hopper dredger de Rotterdam in the commissioning team in the role of commissioning engineer. During this major modification, the entire automation was replaced and Rene took care of part of the testing and recommissioning. In particular, his expertise in the field of PLC-controlled hydraulic installations was very valuable for this complex commissioning.
